 NEWS IN BRIEF

A Busy start to the year, starting with the Acton Turville fun run over the Christmas Period where we won the men’s team prize at this low key but enjoyable fun Run.

Races have come thick and fast with the most notable being Liswerry 8 where the ladies won everything including the Team Prize,  35 club members making the trip over the bridge.

Other Notable events have been the Oldbury 30 ultra, and the Avon Cross country where 23 runners turned out whilst 8 others did the Slaughterford 9 MT , actually we ran 8.5 as the first ½ mile was down a lane covered in sheet ice so the marshals made us walk!.

Lots of things are approaching, please keep an eye on the Notice board amongst others are Hanham Horror –  see Bob to volunteer to Marshall, Club trip to Poole 10k in the summer, autumn trip to Palma ½ and Full Marathon, booking NOW,  talk to James / Keith Sawyer or Bob Sperring..

The Saturday and Sunday runs are being well supported and the run board is working well.

The London Marathon on April 17 is approaching fast, good luck to all 24 members running see also elsewhere in mag.

The New web site is excellent and has already attracted new runners to the club, well done to Andy Phillips and Trevor Twinem for all the effort put in.
